What You Need to Know About Cambridge Exams
What are the Cambridge Exams?
The Cambridge English Qualifications are internationally recognised English language certificates developed by Cambridge University Press & Assessment. They are accepted by thousands of universities, employers, and governments worldwide and have no expiry date.
Different Levels
We prepare students for four Cambridge qualifications. B1 Preliminary (PET) is for intermediate level. B2 First (FCE) is for upper-intermediate level. C1 Advanced (CAE) is for advanced level. C2 Proficiency (CPE) is the highest level and demonstrates near-native command of English.
Four Skills Tested
All three exams test Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. Each skill is assessed separately. Cambridge exams also include a Use of English paper which tests grammar and vocabulary in context.
How it is Scored
Cambridge exams are scored on the Cambridge English Scale from 80 to 230. B1 Preliminary targets 140 to 159, B2 First targets 160 to 179, C1 Advanced targets 180 to 199, and C2 Proficiency targets 200 to 230.
No Expiry Date
Unlike some English language tests, Cambridge qualifications do not expire. Once you pass, your certificate is valid for life. This makes them a long-term investment in your English credentials.
Where to Take the Exam
Cambridge exams are available at authorised test centres worldwide. Visit cambridgeenglish.org to find your nearest centre, check exam dates, and register for your chosen qualification.
How Your Cambridge Exam Preparation Course Works
Passing a Cambridge exam is not just about your English level. It is about understanding exactly what each paper requires and being prepared to deliver it under exam conditions. That is what our course is designed to do.
Your lessons are planned around your current level, your target qualification, and how much time you have before your exam date. Each session builds your confidence across the four skills — Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking — while making sure you understand the techniques and strategies that Cambridge examiners actually reward. Where relevant, we also cover the Use of English paper, which tests grammar and vocabulary in context.
Lessons are delivered 1-to-1 or in a small group of no more than four students. 1-to-1 students choose a lesson frequency that works for them. Group students follow a fixed twice-weekly timetable.
